iPhone 5 factory making 4.5m phones a month

On September 8, 2011, in News, by admin

Apple are currently making 4.5 million iPhones a month so If calculations are correct Apple will of made 18 Million iPhone’s by the end of the year! It’s not sure at this stage if the phone being produced by Apple are the iPhone 5 or the rumoured cheaper model people are calling the “iPhone 4S”.

Hopefully Foxconn has got over its recent problems, with accusations of poor work conditions, health hazards and an explosion on the iPad 2 assembly line that killed three workers.

Normally Apple release a new iPhone ever June, however I can’t help thinking they are releasing the phone later to increase sales of the existing iPhone 4. Apple seem to be focusing more on their software sales, announcing iOS 5, iCloud and Lion the last version of OSX, but not even a whisper of the iPhone 5 release date!

The suspense is almost killing us here at iPhone HowTo when will Apple finally put us and every Apple fan out of their misery and let us know when we will all be queuing up outside our local Apple stores for the latest shiny bit of Apple hardware :)

Delete Apps on the iPhone

On July 14, 2011, in How To, by admin

How to delete or remove apps from the iPhone or any device running iOS, this guide will walk you through the few simple steps on how to uninstall iPhone apps and get those iPhone apps removed that you no longer want or use!

  1. Unlock your iPhone and select the app you want to delete from your iPhone
  2. Hold your finger over the icon of the app you wish to remove, the icons will start to wobble about on the screen and a cross will appear in the top left corner of each app (as seen below).
  3. As you can see from the above image the YouTube and the Gmail icons have a black cross in the top right hand corner, in this example I am going to remove the YouTube iPhone app. So I will go ahead and click on the cross in the top left corner of the YouTube iPhone app, you will then be presented with a warning message regarding removing the App (Or in this case deleting a shortcut to YouTube). Which will read   Delete Icon – Are you sure you want to delete the book “YouTube”.
  4. Go ahead and click delete, this will delete the iPhone App.
Note that your delete warning message may be different depending on what sort of icon / app you are deleting, if it’s an app from Apple’s app store it will most likely say “Delete AppName – Deleting AppName will also delete all of it’s data.”.
Any Problems drop me a comment below!
